Oh she's weird and wonderful! The Kawa Vases are the result of a decades-long slip-casting experiment by artist & designer, Luft Tanaka. To make each piece, Luft pours liquid porcelain into molds made from leather. Once hardened, the leather is delicately peeled off to reveal the final shapes. Seams, folds, texture, and ripples make each vase unique; a moment in time brought to you in porcelain.
